Good news for the fans: the series Wednesday is renewed, here are the first infos

Steph Deschamps / January 8, 2023

The hit series on the streaming platform Netflix has just been officially renewed for a 2nd season. Jenna Ortega and the Nevermore Academy gang will soon be back.

The many fans of the series "Wednesday" suspected it, but Netflix took its time to confirm the official launch of the second season of the Tim Burton series. Carried by the incredible Jenna Ortega, as well as by a cast of experienced actors, such as Christina Ricci, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Gwendoline Christie, "Wednesday" is the biggest success of the streaming platform. With 341 million viewing hours, the series surpasses another very big hit: "Stranger Things. »

But what do we already know about this new season? What is certain is that it would not be aired until 2024. For some time, Netflix takes its time to produce its successful series and "Wednesday" will not deviate from the rule. So we will have to be patient before finding the Addams

Secondly, the cast of season 1 should remain almost unchanged. Jenna Ortega will, of course, return as the heroine, as will her fellow Nevermore Academy students. If they only made a few appearances in the first episodes, Morticia and Gomez Addams, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman, should have a more important role in future episodes.

As for the plot, it's far too early to guess what it will be. Given the end of the last episode, many questions remain unanswered and we can hope to get some of them in season 2. A few weeks ago, showrunner Miles Millar announced that he had planned at least three seasons for "Wednesday. »
