Good news for the fans of Bella and Edward: the Twilight saga will have its own series

Steph Deschamps / April 22, 2023

According to the American media The Hollywood Reporter, the cult saga of literature and cinema imagined by Stephenie Meyer will be adapted into a series by Lionsgate. This is good news for fans of the shiny vampires.

Writer and producer Sined Daly (The Walking Dead: World Beyond, The Get Down) is expected to write the script for the series. For the moment, it is not known if it is a remake or a sequel of the romance between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.

The development of this spin-off series is still in its early stages, Lionsgate has not yet revealed either the release date of the project or the platform where it will be broadcast. But it is unlikely that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will reprise their roles. The two actors, who were a couple a few years ago, had separated because of Kristen Stewart's infidelity. The interpreters of the couple formed by Edward and Bella had also confided how much they hated these roles.
