U.S. Congress Begins Debate on Trump's Impeachment

 Sylive Claire / January 13, 2021

The U.S. Congress began Wednesday morning the debates on the indictment of Donald Trump, accused of having encouraged the assault on Capitol Hill in Washington that left five dead.

The vote on the indictment is expected to take place around 3:00 p.m. (210:00 BST) in the House of Representatives. There is little doubt about the outcome of the indictment, as long as the Democrats have a majority in the House. It will mark the formal opening of impeachment proceedings against the 45th president, who will become the first person in history to be impeached twice in Congress.
