French astronaut Thomas Pesquet launched Wednesday from the International Space Station for the third spacewalk of his life, which he will perform with American astronaut Shane Kimbrough, according to images broadcast live by NASA.
The two men, who have already performed two spacewalks together in 2017, will install the first of six new solar arrays designed to increase the ISS's power generation capabilities. The operation is expected to take about six and a half hours.
