Sweden is about to lift, like its Danish and Norwegian neighbors, almost all restrictions linked to the coronavirus and this from February 9th, Swedish media reported on Wednesday evening.
The situation in health care, the less dangerous nature of the Omicron variant and the rate of vaccination of the population justify this decision which will be announced tomorrow/thursday by the government.
Denmark on Tuesday became the first EU country to lift almost all coronavirus-related restrictions, except for international travel. It was followed later in the day by neighboring Norway. Many other European countries have also begun to ease restrictions.
