After "Gossip Girl" and "Beverly Hills", "La Petite Maison dans la Prairie" will also have a reboot. The popular 70's and 80's series will be revived according to Entertainment Weekly.

A new dramatic version of "La Petite Maison dans la Prairie" should soon see the light of day. Little information has leaked out regarding the handling of Laura Ingalls' story. We do know, however, that Alison Arngrim, known for playing Nellie Oleson in the TV movie, could play the role of Mrs. Oleson. "I'm just old enough to play Mrs Oleson and I'm not ashamed of myself," she told Entertainment Weekly.

The cult series had aired from September 1974 to May 1982 and lasted 9 seasons. It tells the story of a family of American pioneers, the Ingalls, who came to Minnesota. The show is adapted from the eponymous and autobiographical novel by Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Ed Friendly had acquired the rights to the novel to shoot the first series. Today his son, Trip Friendly, is involved in the reboot project.
