After The Lord of the Rings or Snowpiercer, it is the turn of Mr. & Mrs. Smith to be adapted into a TV series. The emblematic film by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is currently being prepared by Amazon Prime.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith remains for everyone THE film of the meeting between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. This film gave birth to one of the most emblematic couples in Hollywood. So the idea is obviously to surf on the success of this film dating from 2005 and to make a series of it .
To do so, Donald Glover (seen in Community and Atlanta ) and Phoebe Waller-Bridger (seen in Fleabag ) will take over the two mythical roles. In addition to their roles as actors, they will be co-creators.
The story will not differ from the film. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are a seemingly normal couple. However, both are secret agents whose mission is to eliminate the other.
