Ariel Robinson, the most recent winner of the America's Worst Cooks series, and her husband have been arrested for the alleged murder of their 3-year-old adopted daughter, Victoria Rose Smith.

Ariel, a 29-year-old former teacher and amateur comedian, and her husband Jerry Robinson, 34, did not publicly comment on the accusations. Following their arrests, the entire 20th season of the reality show was immediately taken off the cable channel in the United States.

According to local television station FOX Carolina, on the afternoon of January 14, Simpsonville police received a call about a young unconscious victim. She was pronounced dead after being rushed from the emergency room to the hospital. The medical examiner determined that the cause of death was multiple injuries.

On Tuesday, January 19, both Ariel and Jerry were charged with homicide and child abuse, according to prison records. A judge refused to offer bail in exchange for their releases, the YahooNews site reveals.
