A shooting was reported on Monday at a school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, as reported by several U.S. media outlets. It would be, according to the school's management, an isolated incident

The shooting occurred at Watson Chapel Junior High School. One student was reportedly wounded and transferred to the hospital by helicopter, according to the American television channel KATV.

His parents have been informed and the other students are safe. All campuses have been closed and authorities are mobilized, ABC News reports. A young suspect has reportedly been arrested. Students in Pine Bluff, a town about 70 kilometers south of Little Rock, the capital of the state of Arkansas, were back in school on Monday for the first time after measures were put in place to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
