The poetess Amanda Gorman signed a contract in a famous model agency

She moved America on the day of the inauguration of the 46th president of the United States with her poem The Hill We Climb, referring to the insurrection of the Capitol in Washington that had taken place a fortnight earlier. Amanda Gorman, the 22-year-old poetess who is currently a sociology student at Harvard University and who described herself as a skinny black girl, descended from slaves, raised by a single mother was offered a rather unexpected opportunity after captivating America on January 20.

The famous model agency IMG - the same one that employs the sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid - hired the young woman and made it known through a press release. IMG will focus on building her profile through brand recommendations and editorial opportunities .
