Philadelphia: 8 people have been shot, one of them seriously injured

Eight people were shot on Wednesday shortly before 3 p.m. near a Philadelphia bus and subway station in the United States. The victims ranged in age from 17 to 71. The oldest victim was shot in the stomach and legs and is in critical condition. 

The police say that a person has been arrested, but it is not yet determined whether the person is connected to the incident. We have one person in custody and we have recovered two firearms, said Police Chief Danielle Outlaw. We are still trying to determine if that person is involved in the shooting. At least 18 shell casings were also found on the road. Police are calling for witnesses to identify other possible suspects.
