One World Trade Center in New York struck by lightning

The video, striking, has been seen millions of times. The spire of the city's tallest tower, which stands at 546 meters, was struck by lightning on Saturday night. As a result, a series of lightning bolts lasting several seconds invaded the New York sky.

 

A majority of Internet users marvel at these images. However, the weather situation is calamitous in a large part of the United States. According to the authorities, the tornadoes and violent storms that hit several states this weekend, have killed at least 29 people. The toll is catastrophic in Tennessee, in the south of the country, where there were 12 deaths.
