Multiple victims after Denver shootings: shooter's motive still a mystery

A man killed at least four people Monday night in a series of shootings in and around the U.S. city of Denver, Colorado, local police and CNN news channel reported. Several people, including a police officer, were injured.
Authorities reported four shootings in Denver and Lakewood, just outside the city.
The suspect, whose identity has not yet been revealed, was killed during a confrontation with the police, but it is not known whether the police actually caused his death or whether he committed suicide.
The motive for these shootings remains unknown for the moment.
