Motorist stops to help 2-year-old boy wandering the road but sees him being killed by a truck

As he wanted to help the little boy who was walking on a busy road, the motorist watched helplessly as he died.

The drama took place on July 24 on Lakeview Avenue, not far from the child's home in Nuevo (south Los Angeles). The 2-year-old, identified as Samuel Rodiguez, had managed to open the door of his house and then venture out onto the avenue.

It was a motorist who noticed the child, alone on the road. He immediately stopped to come to his aid and try to save him. But before he could reach it, a truck crashed into little Samuel as the motorist watched in horror. The boy was rushed to hospital but unfortunately did not survive and succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the truck, who was not under the influence at the time of the incident, simply could not see the child. No charges have been brought against him.
