Former U.S. presidential candidate Bob Dole has died at the age of 98

Former Senator Bob Dole, an American political figure, died Sunday morning at the age of 98, the Elizabeth Dole Foundation announced.
 
By the time he died at age 98, he had served the United States faithfully for 79 years, the foundation said, noting that he died in his sleep.
