Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday night called for a "giant Republican wave" in the Nov. 8 midterm congressional elections to take on President Joe Biden's Democrats.

At a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, a crucial state in the northeast of the country for this election, the billionaire, who makes no secret of his desire to run again in 2024, told his supporters: "If you want to stop the destruction of our country and save the American dream then, this Tuesday, you must vote Republican for a giant wave" red, the color of his conservative party.

With three days to go before "decisive" elections in the United States, President Joe Biden and his Democratic predecessor Barack Obama urged their voters to "vote" to protect American "democracy" at rallies in the same state, shortly before rival Trump's address.
