American rapper JayDaYoungan shot and killed in Louisiana

American rapper JayDaYoungan, best known for his singles 23 Island, Elimination and Opps, was shot and killed Wednesday night in a small Louisiana town, local police said.
 
The musician, who had recently posted photos on Instagram showing him playing with his young son, died in his hometown of Bogalusa, the source said in a statement.
 
Javorius Scott died from his injuries after the shooting, which took place shortly before 6 p.m., said police, who also reported his alias JayDaYoungan.  A close family member who was also injured is in stable condition in hospital, the statement added without giving further details.
 
According to media reports, the second victim was the father of the deceased rapper, who was 24 years old. The police added that an investigation was underway and that they would release more information when it was available.
 
23 Island was released three years ago and has 173 million views on YouTube.
