War in Ukraine: Vladimir Putin says he will achieve his goals either by negotiation or by war

Vladimir Putin told Emmanuel Macron on Sunday that he would achieve his goals in Ukraine, either by negotiation or by war, said the Elysee Palace, following a 1 hour 45 minute telephone conversation between the Russian and French presidents.
Emmanuel Macron found him very determined to achieve his objectives, including what the Russian president calls the 'denazification' and neutralization of Ukraine as well as the recognition of the independence of Crimea and Donbass, requirements that are, according to Paris, unacceptable for Ukrainians.
