War in Ukraine: before the Security Council, Zelensky urges the UN to act immediately against war crimes committed by Russia

In a solemn speech by video broadcast live in the Security Council chamber, Volodymyr Zelensky also called for Russia to be excluded from the Council, of which it is one of the five permanent members, and for a reform of the United Nations system, so that the right of veto does not mean the right to die.

Now we need decisions of the Security Council for peace in Ukraine. If you do not know how to make this decision, you can do two things, said the Ukrainian president.

Either exclude Russia as an aggressor and the originator of the war so that it does not block decisions on its own aggression. Then do everything we can to bring about peace, urged Zelensky in the presence of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

Or the other option is to show, please, that we can reform or change if there is no alternative and no option, the next option would be to dissolve all of you together, the Ukrainian president demanded.

Volodymyr Zelensky also released a video showing very crude images of people killed in Ukraine, the violence of which provoked an indignant reaction from the current president of this body.

These are appalling images, said the British ambassador Barbara Woodward, saying she was outraged. Several bodies or parts of bodies appeared on these images, on a sound background accentuating the dramatization of the video.
