Turkish police find an explosive before an event of President Erdogan

Turkish police discovered an explosive device under the vehicle of a policeman who was supposed to be on duty at an event for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday, Turkish media reported.
 
The explosive was found under the car of a policeman. This happened in the Turkish province of Mardin, 200 kilometers from Siirt, where the event was taking place. The explosive was discovered before the officer went to Siirt and was defused. An investigation has been opened.
 
Turkey has been fighting the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the southeast of the country for nearly four decades.
