Tragedy in the Philippines: a bus crashes into a ravine on the "death curve", killing at least 25 people.

At least 25 people died in a bus accident on Tuesday on a winding road in the central Philippines, official sources said.
 
The bus was carrying 53 passengers. The death toll could rise as some of the seriously injured were rushed to hospital. "Rescue operations are still underway," said Rhodora Cadiao, governor of Antique province. The victims are piled on top of each other and some have been ejected dozens of metres, she added.
 
The victims included the driver and co-driver. According to initial reports, the vehicle, which was travelling in a mountainous region, collided with a concrete barrier on a bend in an expressway near Hamtic town (450 km south of Manila), before tipping over into a ravine.
