Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters in the United States

Some 2,000 demonstrators gathered in New York's Brooklyn neighborhood, chanting Free Palestine and waving Palestinian flags.

Rallies were also held in other U.S. cities, including Boston and Washington.

Palestinians have the right to live freely and the children of Gaza should not be killed, said Alison Zambrano, a 20-year-old student who came to New York from neighboring Connecticut to protest.

I tell Mr. Biden and his administration to stop supporting the murder. Support the victims, stop the oppression, added Mashhour Ahmad, a 73-year-old Palestinian who has lived in New York for 50 years.

Joe Biden said Saturday his great concern to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the escalation of violence in Israel and Gaza, telling Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that Hamas must stop firing rockets.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in several cities in Canada and Europe on Saturday. In France, about 22,000 people demonstrated, including about 3,000 in Paris. In London, there were thousands, as well as in Berlin and Madrid.
