The social network Instagram, owned by U.S. giant Meta, became inaccessible Monday in Russia, which accuses it of spreading calls for violence against Russians in connection with the conflict in Ukraine.
Refreshing in the application was impossible Monday morning, while the site was inaccessible without a VPN, AFP reporters found. Instagram is now also on the list of sites in restricted access published by the telecommunications gendarme Roskomnadzor, joining there the networks Facebook, Twitter and several media critical of the Russian power.
