A nurse accused of being a serial killer of babies: she allegedly killed 8 babies and attempted to kill 9 others.

Working in the neonatal unit, she was arrested for the third time in November, reports The Sun. This Friday she appeared in court for the murder of eight newborns and attempted murder of nine others. Lucy Letby was remanded into custody. A new hearing will be held on May 10.

The events took place between March 2015 and July 2016. Concerned about the high number of deaths among babies in the unit, the hospital notified the police, who opened an investigation.

The causes of death were in each case heart and lung failure
