British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, visiting Kiev on Saturday, pledged to provide Ukraine with armored vehicles and anti-ship missiles. He paid tribute to the Ukrainian army for the greatest feat of arms of the twenty-first century.

It is thanks to the unwavering leadership of President Zelensky and the invincible heroism and courage of the Ukrainian people that Putin's monstrous designs are being thwarted, said Boris Johnson after his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, according to a statement from his office. With this visit, Mr. Johnson intended to show our unwavering support for the Ukrainian people, he had said earlier on Twitter. We are putting in place new financial and military assistance that demonstrates our commitment to his country's fight against Russia's barbaric campaign, he added.

The atrocities committed in Boutcha, a small town northwest of Kiev where dozens of civilians were found dead, often shot dead, have permanently tainted Putin's reputation, the British prime minister said. Zelensky's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, hailed on Telegram a rich and constructive discussion, applauding the leadership of the British prime minister. Other countries should follow the example of the UK, for his part, the Ukrainian president commented.
