Invasion of Ukraine - 20 million losses per month due to internet service in Ukraine, according to Elon Musk

The space company SpaceX of the American billionaire Elon Musk loses about 20 million dollars a month by providing its satellite internet service to Ukraine, said its boss Elon Musk on Twitter. The latter, however, continues to pay the bill for Starlink internet terminals in the country.

The company does not receive money from the U.S. Department of Defense for providing this service, "but we will continue to do so," the billionaire said. Last week, Elon Musk had asked the U.S. government to intervene because SpaceX can no longer meet the costs. With about 20,000 terminals, Ukraine can continue to communicate via satellite link when cell phone networks and internet connections are interrupted due to the war. The operation has already cost SpaceX about 80 million dollars.
