The reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris on Friday was attended by a number of important personalities. These included Donald Trump and Prince William. The two men also had a chat.

It was a long-awaited day for France: the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris. For five years, the edifice has been rebuilt after being severely damaged by fire in 2019. So, on Sunday, a host of important personalities were on hand to celebrate the rebirth of this iconic building in the French capital. Future American President Donald Trump and Prince William were among the guests. The two men actually spoke at the British embassy, located in the 8ᵉ arrondissement of Paris.

In an interview with the New York Post, the billionaire revealed a few details of their conversation. According to him, William spoke about the state of health of his father, King Charles, who is suffering from cancer. “He's fighting very hard,” he reportedly said. He also mentioned the Princess of Wales, saying she was “doing well”.

During their 40-minute exchange, Donald Trump also praised the prince's “fantastic work” and didn't fail to evoke his “warm and affectionate” memories of Elizabeth II (who died in 2022, editor's note), reports Le Point magazine.

And apparently the mood was so good between them that William reportedly suggested that the future president “warm his toes after the cathedral visit”, to which Donald Trump replied, “You're right”.
