France threatened by Al Qaeda, Emmanuel Macron and Gérald Darmanin targeted: the Ministry of the Interior calls for vigilance all summer

In a more than disturbing video released recently, the terrorist organization Al Qaeda threatens France again. These words were taken very seriously by the Ministry of the Interior of Gérald Darmanin. According to Le Parisien, his chief of staff, Pierre de Bousquet, has sent a telegram on this subject to all the prefects of France, firmly asking them to be very vigilant throughout the summer and until September, because the risks of an attack are high.

According to him, this video devoted in its entirety to condemning the blasphemy embodied by the cartoons of Mohammed would have a significant potential for dissemination. A message that explicitly targets France, bridgehead of the so-called war of the West against Islam. President Macron and the Minister of the Interior are even cited.

For the minister's office, the risk is as great as in the fall of 2020, when France was hit by several terrorist attacks, while the trial of the Charlie Hebdo attacks was taking place. This video could incite al-Qaeda members present in France to strike, while in early September the trial of the November 13, 2015 attacks will take place.

It is a reminder to be vigilant, as is regularly done, but there has been no increase in the level of the threat, said a senior intelligence official.
