Facebook plans to spend over $1 billion on content creators

Facebook, to better compete with other platforms like TikTok or YouTube, plans to spend more than $1 billion on programs to compensate creators of content posted on its social networks by the end of 2022, Mark Zuckerberg said Wednesday.
We want to create the best platforms for millions of creators to make a living the boss of the parent company of Facebook and Instagram explained in a message posted on his account.

Social networks offer artists, influencers and other personalities a way to earn a living, thanks to advertisements on their accounts, but also to the organization of paid online events or remunerations paid by some platforms according to their popularity.
These companies take a significant proportion of these advertising revenues.
