An 11-year-old boy was killed by dogs outside a house in Russia where his parents were busy celebrating for several days on the New Year, investigators said on Sunday.

The family went to visit friends near Moscow for the holidays. The family in question raises dogs and, while the adults did not notice, the boy came out and was then attacked. According to investigators, the boy died on the spot. The body was not discovered until Saturday by an acquaintance of the family as the party continued and no one noticed the boy's absence, local media said.
