At least 436 dead and 2,270 injured in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health

The Gaza Strip has suffered 436 deaths and more than 2,270 injuries as a result of Israeli attacks, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Facebook on Monday. Most of the casualties were civilians. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, 91 children and 61 women lost their lives.
A surprise attack by the radical Palestinian group Hamas on Saturday led to heavy fighting between the group and the Israeli armed forces (IDF), mainly around the Gaza Strip. According to the Hebrew state authorities, at least 700 people died in Israel and 2,243 were injured. Over 100 Israelis were also kidnapped and taken to the Gaza Strip.
