Angela Merkel will receive a monthly pension of 15,000 euros

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will receive an estimated monthly pension of 15,000 euros after she leaves office, according to calculations by the German Taxpayers' Association published Friday.
Angela Merkel, 67, will end her career after the September elections.
The calculations were based on her many years in the German parliament, her ministerial mandates and her position as chancellor.
Like every chancellor and outgoing president, Merkel will also be given an office. She will also have a budget to hire administrative assistants, a typist and a driver.
