A meteorite has lit up the sky in Melbourne

 Sylvie Claire / February 15, 2021

The fall of a meteorite gave Melbourne's romantics a sight to behold on Valentine's Day as it lit up the city's skies.

The video, shared by witnesses Fernando Braga and Leesa Vaughan and shot from Melbourne's central business district, shows a luminous eruption. The meteorite burned up as it entered the atmosphere on Sunday. Local media reported that the meteor was spotted around 10:40 pm.
