A 47-meter-long luxury yacht sinks off the Greek islands due to a... stupid mistake!

Steph Deschamps / August 3, 2024

A “silly” mistake has cost the owners of the Ethos, a superb 47-meter yacht, a lot of money. Images of the yacht sinking are circulating on social networks. According to HLN, the boat unfortunately took on water following a stupid mistake by a crew member, who forgot to close a side door through which the water was draining.

But in his misfortune, the captain had the right reflex to redirect the yacht towards shallow waters to avoid her being completely submerged. The Ethos remained on the eastern side of the Greek island of Kefalonia, where the incident occurred.

Equipped with five large cabins for 12 guests, the Ethos can welcome you aboard for 210,000 euros per week.
