Australia: young woman seriously injured after being attacked by shark

A 20-year-old woman was seriously injured in a shark attack on Saturday at Shelley Beach, near Port Macquarie on the east coast of Australia, Australian news agency AAP reports.

 

The young woman was injured in the leg. This year, six people were killed by shark attacks and six others were seriously injured, according to data from the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

 

2020 is one of the worst years for shark attacks.
