We are not at war with Russia, Emmanuel Macron assured Wednesday, saying that we are today alongside all Russians who, refusing an undignified war is conducted in their name, have the spirit of responsibility and courage to defend the peace.
  
We all know what binds us to this great European people and the Russian people who sacrificed so much during the Second World War to save Europe from the abyss, added the French president in a televised address.
