Trial of the Paris attacks: Salah Abdeslam has arrived at the courthouse!

Sylvie Claire / September 8, 2021

As the trial of the Paris attacks begins today, Salah Abdeslam, the only member of the commando still alive, has just arrived at the courthouse.

Suicide bombers outside the Stade de France, weapons of war in the middle of Paris, 130 dead, and a night that traumatized the country. Six years later, the historic trial of the November 13, 2015 attacks opens Wednesday at noon, in the heart of the capital.

In the morning, under the eye of the cameras, an ultra-secure convoy left the Fleury-Mérogis prison, where the only surviving member of the November 13, 2015 jihadist commandos, Salah Abdeslam, has been incarcerated for over five years in total isolation.

Nearly a thousand members of the police force will be mobilized for the security of the trial, including 630 in the vicinity of the palace and inside, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
