Legislative elections 2022: Macron's coalition narrowly wins over Mélenchon's alliance, historic record for abstention

According to the final results communicated by the Minister of the Interior, Emmanuel Macron's coalition wins against the left-wing alliance (Nupes).
 
The coalition around Emmanuel Macron and the left-wing alliance Nupes came in almost equally on Sunday in the first round of the legislative elections, with only 21,442 votes ahead for Ensemble! according to results from the Ministry of the Interior.
 
The Macronist alliance won 25.75% of the vote and the Nupes around Jean-Luc Mélenchon 25.66%.
 
The abstention rate was 52.49%, an all-time high.
 
Next in line: the Rassemblement National (of Marine Le Pen) with 19.1%, the Republicans and allies with 13.9%, and Reconquête! with 4.1%.
 
As a reminder, the National Assembly has 577 seats.
