A photographer immortalizes the head of Poseidon in the waves in Brittany

This photo was taken by Mathieu Rivrin in Lesconil, Finistère. He photographed the waves and in one of these shots appears the face of Poseidon, Greek god of the oceans.

I took a series of bursting photos and I didn't see anything at the time. It was when I transferred my photos to the computer that I saw this incredible resemblance, the photographer told the Telegram.

The resemblance is troubling and has quickly made the rounds of social networks. In twenty-four hours, I already had more than 1.5 million views and it hasn't stopped since, noted Mathieu Rivin.

For some, the resemblance is obvious, for others, more skeptical, it is a pareidolia. That is to say, an optical illusion or a brain mechanism that would associate a shape with a human or animal appearance.
