The Dalai Lama received his first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday. The Tibetan spiritual leader also called for the same.

The first injection of the 85-year-old spiritual leader was administered at the hospital in Dharamsala, the northern Indian city where the Tibetan government-in-exile resides.

The event was filmed. It shows the Dalai Lama asking for people to be vaccinated. In order to prevent serious problems, this injection is very, very useful and very good.

It is not known which vaccine was administered. In India, use is made of Covaxin produced in the country and serum developed by AstraZeneca.
