Coronavirus: the USA will again allow vaccinated travelers from Canada and Mexico

Gov. Biden informed members of Congress of his decision to lift travel restrictions that had been imposed from neighboring countries to the north and south since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020. An exact date has yet to be confirmed for the lifting of travel restrictions from Canada and Mexico.

The United States will open its land borders with Mexico and Canada in early November to Covid-19-vaccinated travelers making trips deemed non-essential, a senior White House official announced Wednesday.

He assured that the precise date of entry into force of the new system would be known very soon for these trips by land, as well as for international travel by air, subject to the same schedule and for which the vaccination obligation had been announced on September 20

At the end of September, the White House had already indicated that vaccinated travelers from the EU and the United Kingdom were once again welcome in the United States. But this announcement is not associated with a clear schedule.
