Coronavirus: China claims to have fully vaccinated over a billion people

The Chinese government said Thursday that it has fully vaccinated more than one billion people against Covid-19, or more than 70% of its population.

The world's most populous country (1.4 billion people), where the coronavirus emerged in late 2019, has distributed a total of 2.16 billion vaccines, a senior health ministry official told reporters
