U.S. President Joe Biden said that all American women over the age of 18 will be able to get vaccinated (against Covid-19) by May 1, in an official speech. He stressed that the fight is far from over, he told the public Thursday night

The White House tenant ordered all states to phase out age restrictions so that all American adults, over 18, will be eligible for the vaccine by May 1. That's much sooner than we expected! he stressed. Biden also warned against complacency on Covid-19, while hammering home a message of hope and the promise of better days ahead. The United States will soon demonstrate that it has overcome one of the darkest and toughest periods in its history, he said. This virus has killed more people than in World War I, World War II and the Vietnam War, he said. He spoke of a trajectory to have a good chance of enjoying a festive Fourth of July, a national holiday, during which Americans could gather in small groups around the traditional barbecue. This fight is far from over, he warned before sharing his belief that better days were ahead. We've all lost something, the U.S. president stressed, referring to the past year. It is the little things in life that are the most important and those are the ones we miss. Joe Biden, who denounced the unacceptable attacks on Asian Americans, also announced the deployment of 4,000 additional troops to participate in the vaccination campaign, bringing their total number to 6,000. Covid-19 has killed more than 2.6 million people worldwide, according to the latest AFP count.
