When Michelle Obama arrives on Netflix!

 Steph Deschamps / February 10, 2021

Michelle Obama has landed a role in Netflix's new Waffles + Mochi series, the first original streaming service for preschoolers designed by Grounds Productions, Michelle and her husband Barack's new production company.

The former first lady plays the role of a supermarket owner who sends the two main characters around the world to become good chefs. The two creatures, Waffles and Mochi, come from the freezer and all they make happens to be ice cream. The supermarket owner, Michelle Obama here, encourages the two characters to learn how to make real food.

I'm so happy to be a part of this hilarious, comforting and magical show, and I'm not just saying that because of the wagon flying around, says Michelle Obama. I wish Waffles + Mochi had been there when my daughters grew up, because it's the kind of program that's fun to watch as a family and gives parents the peace of mind of knowing that their children are also learning something, Het Nieuwsblad reported.

The series will be available on Netflix from March 16 and will currently consist of ten twenty-minute episodes. Moreover, this is not the first series in which Michelle Obama has played since she played in the series Parks & Recreation in 2014.
