The return of Shrek: an intern's blunder at NBCUniversal

Sylvie Claire / November 14, 2023

In 2001, the adventures of Shrek and Princess Fiona hit the screens. And it's been over 10 years since Dreamworks concluded the ogre's adventures with "Shrek 4: There Was an End". And yet, according to a LinkedIn post by an NBCUniversal employee, Shrek 5 is expected in 2025. No need to look for the post, it has since been deleted. We'll have to wait for more information, but in the meantime, this revelation should be taken with a grain of salt.

But for now, this rumor has fans of the green ogre series excited. And they're not the only ones: Eddie Murphy, the original voice of the donkey, has revealed his attachment to his character and hopes to reprise his role.
