Fantastic Beasts: Meet The Actor To Replace Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp will no longer play Grindelwald in the "Fantastic Beasts" saga. Since this announcement, fans have been wondering who will reprise the role of the famous wizard. It is Mads Mikkelsen known for having played in the series "Hannibal" and in the James Bond "Casino Royal ».

 

It's official, Mads Mikkelsen will replace Johnny Depp as big bad Gellert Grindelwald. Warner Bros has announced it. The filming of the third part of the saga "Fantastic animals" will therefore be able to resume.

 

As soon as the announcement of the ousting of Johnny Depp who had nevertheless donned the costume of the sorcerer for a day of filming, the director had sent Warner his list of potential replacements, Mads Mikkelsen was his first choice.

 

The Danish actor is joining the cast of David Yates film alongside Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler and Katherine Waterston. Currently filming in London, the film is slated for release in summer 2022.
