The inspiration for the character of Mama Coco in the Pixar film Coco has died at 109

For those of you who have seen the Pixar "Coco," which won Best Animated Feature at the 2018 Oscars, the name Mama Coco should certainly ring a bell. She is the great-grandmother of young Miguel. A character inspired by a lady living in the state of Michoacán, Mexico: María Salud Ramírez Caballero. 
 
The latter, who became a star after the release of "Coco", unfortunately died on Sunday at the age of 109 years in his home town (Santa Fe de la Laguna). It is what reports this Monday morning the local media. 
 
On Twitter, many local personalities paid tribute to the Mexican woman. This is the case of the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Michoacán: "I deeply regret the death of Mrs. María Salud Ramírez Caballero, 'Mamá Coco', a tireless woman and an example of life, the inspiration of this beloved character who toured the world.
 
After the release of the animated film "Coco", the dama received daily visits from many tourists.
