The actress Nathalie Delon has passed away.

The actress Nathalie Delon, who had notably played in The Samurai by Jean-Pierre Melville with her husband at the time, Alain Delon, died Thursday in Paris, at the age of 79, told AFP her son, Anthony Delon.

My mother passed away this morning at 11:00 a.m. in Paris, surrounded by her relatives. She died of a quick cancer, Nathalie and Alain Delon's son, Anthony, told AFP.

In the eyes of the general public, she remains Jane, Alain Delon's partner in Le Samouraï (1967), taken from Goan McLeod's novel The Ronin .
