Sinead O'Connor's 17-year-old son died two days after he was reported missing. The singer told fans that he had decided to end his fight on earth.
The star is threatening the hospital with legal action for letting him escape while under suicide watch, reports the Daily Mail.
The 55-year-old Irish singer paid tribute to her beautiful son Shane, whom she shares with her ex, folk singer Donal Lunny, on Twitter confirming the news.
My beautiful son, Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor, the light of my life, has decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now with God, the singer wrote.
May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace.
Shane was one of four children of Sinead - Jake Reynolds, Roisin Waters and Yeshua Francis Neil Bonadio.
