Sex and the City: a new season is in preparation without one of the famous actresses

A new season of the hit series Sex and the City will air on HBO Max, with the same cast except for actress Kim Cattrall, the channel announced Sunday night.
his season, entitled And Just Like That , (and Just Like That), will have ten episodes with actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, HBO said in a release.
Sarah Jessica Parker will continue to play the character of Carrie Bradshaw, also the story's narrator. Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are her two best friends, lawyer Miranda Hobbes and art dealer Charlotte York.
Kim Cattrall, who played the character of Samantha Jones, a liberated woman working in advertising, is not mentioned in the HBO release, which did not specify why she was no longer in the show.
This new version will follow the three women in their friendship and amorous peregrinations when they are now in their fifties. The release date has not been specified but the first scenes are expected to be shot in late spring in New York.
Sarah Jessica Parker, who co-produced the series alongside Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Michael Patrick King, has posted a trailer of the series on her Instagram account.
This short video is a montage of classic views of New York City interspersed with images of the computer screen belonging to Carrie Bradshaw's character with the words And just like that and The story continues. The voice of the actress accompanies these images.
The original Sex and the City series, created by Darren Star, is based on Candace Bushnell's eponymous book published in 1997. The first episode was released in 1998 and six seasons followe
The series also gave rise to two films released in 2008 and 2010 and a prequel (a series recounting events prior to the original series), broadcast in 2013 over two seasons.
